Welcome
I had envisaged a better welcome and by that I mean a face-to-face
address and introduction, yet since we both suffered some sorts of
misinformation, I will just go on with this pseudo-formal introduction.
Kindly note that, I will be sending information about this
course via this medium; BUT it will by no means replace the need for personal
class attendance.
My name is Femi Oladele and I have been assigned to teach
Advanced Financial Accounting I (ACC 410) and I hope we enjoy a wonderful time
together. We should discuss class arrangements when we see.
We are going to be looking at some topics listed below in no
exact progressive order:
- Published financial statements and reports;
- Royalties;
- Hire purchase and leasing;
- Investment accounts;
- Joint ventures;
- Accounts of banks and insurance companies; and
- Introduction to petroleum accounting.
For your information, as promised, I was in class twice on Friday, 24th February 2017, but did not meet anyone.
